    • Ask me what letters from the keyboard I don’t mind removing, I would say expect ctrl, A, C and V, please go ahead. That’s the dictionary which will be imprinted heavily in every software engineer’s lexical collection. If my keyboard was made up of steel, those 4 characters would have been rusted and prints vanished in thin air. Never have I tried to think something, all I do now is to google things out, not even try to solve those puzzles which hit my mailbox as part of fun activities, even google them out. My work activities include Googling or the famous cut copy paste, my brain at this stage will stop to function in the near point of time. It is too light to handle even lighter things, is this part of the software cultures mistake or should I blame myself. But my smile at myself when I recall that I am not the only one in the forest, there are my friends also out there doing the same.

“Hey Dude what’s up for the day?” my friend asks this right from the moment I step into the office at morning till I leave for the day, he is never tired to ask me that, knowing that the answer is always gonna be “Nothing much da.. same bore work” Believe it or not, its been happening for the past 2 years. If at all he forgets to ask me that, I would grab that opportunity and ask him the same for which the answer is the same again.

The corporate culture should be changed to follow the footprints of an investment banking acculturation, your compensation should be directly proportional to the amount of work you do. In a software firm, people above assistant managers or the senior management gets all those project percentage shares, blah blah. Why can’t I be allowed to share a piece of tat cake? The mindset would change; I stop with this and continue later.

      Monday Morning

I love Thursday why because the next day is Friday, followed by week ends. I love Friday because the next two days are holiday; I love Saturday afternoon because the following night is a Saturday night. I love Saturday night coz the next day is a Sunday and I hate Sundays coz the next day is a Monday. And I hate Monday mornings the most coz I will have to pass another 4 days for the Friday to come. This is an vicious circle which has been haunting me right from my Lower Kinder Garden. I had an opportunity to smile in my school and college days’ coz I have 2 months either as semester holidays or annual holidays before but alas those days are over. The years looked stretched now coz I have to spend another 2 months working. It would have been greater even if the corporate office had 2 months as corporate holidays. Now don’t raise ur eyebrows saying that it will affect the economy and blah blah. What the heck, one day we are gonna die? Why not enjoy till then? Why do I have to struggle myself and stretch myself for long hours to attain something? If it comes in my way I shall I take it else take whatever that comes in my way. Enjoy life and be happy, smile and help others all the way till u reach ur end

      The Supreme

The first thing I did after watching this movie was to find out if the team behind the movie is working on its third part. Bulls Eye… they were… The Bourne Ultimatum… I will be the first person to grab the tickets of the premiere show of that movie. Plot intact like the first one, supremacy takes off in India and ends in Moscow. I was really awe inspired by this movie, the way things are narrated. This is definitely one of the best spy or action films whatever u call it, I have seen it. Time flies, I mean it literally flies if u watch these movies, such was the narration. Surprisingly the lead pair opposite Matt Damon looked beautiful in the second part, but alas she gets killed in the beginning of this one. This is my 75th post and it is dedicated to this edge seat sitter movie

      New Identity

Based on Robert ludlum’s novel, this film is simply awesome. Takes off cleanly and lands without any problems. A grandeur show by Matt Damon, I have never seen any films in which he plays the lead part, always have seen him as more of a supporting actor, this one came as a surprise. The Bourne Identity is definitely a movie needed to be added in every spy/action film watchers dictionary. The film’s prime strength is unquestionably the back ground score, it was rattling and though it doesn’t stay as the Mission Impossible theme does, but it is definitely will stand next to that, it kept the movie going, no where in the movie you get bored, it is so fast that 2 hours will seem like a second. It has hardly few action sequences, not the one like u see in MI or X- men where you see all kind of gimmicks every alternate minutes, this has nothing like those stuff but still the movie was so fast. Undoubtedly a movie to be watched and get urself entertained. What I think is there could have got a better pair for Bourne.

X men - The Lost Stand

Yuck … after watching MI 3 and Final Destination 3, I expected more from X-Men 3…but it was a same side goal situation… I was fooled… it was nothing more than ordinary… Here and there, it had something good, but it was like those regular action genres…You expect something and come to X- men you will be fooled, just come, see and go.. Expect not even a penny more. I hope they don’t come up with something like X- men 4 … it will be lost stand by then and not last stand. I watched 2 fast and 2 furious… Man an action film needs to be inspired from these kinds… I was stormed, surprised, jubilated, gloated… I am searching for words to express my satisfaction of watching that. I felt like I was in the driver seat when I was watching the film. No where in the movie I felt bored and it kept accelerated as it progressed towards the end, now what I am waiting for … obviously Fast and Furious 3: Tokyo Drift… hope it doesn’t make a fool out of me like what x- men 3 did. If at all I make a film in my life… it would be inspired from Fast and Furious…the film will open like… Inspired from Fast and Furious and end like A film by Jagan … sounds good: D …

      Mouse Hunt

Right from the start of the film, you wait for the mouse to show up on the big screen, it takes a while for the mouse to enter into the scene, but it doesn’t take much of your time, Once it comes its like in Chandramukhi ( “ athan vanthurarule, enime kalakkal than”), then you laugh till the end. The film primarily targets the small children and it was good fun watching it. I almost stopped the play and laughed for some 10 minutes when I heard the dialogue “This is Hitler with a tail and Omen with whiskers and (the good one is) Nostradamus didn’t see this” I rolled on the floor when I heard that. The climax of the film is predictable but still it holds good.

      Is the Final Over ?

Man you should never watch these movies at night, it scares the hell out of you, not while the movie is going on but after the movie. You seem to watch your steps. Everybody night before going off to bed, I usually piss you and come out of the bath room with wet hands and switch off the light as such and go on, but not anymore after final destination, I really didn’t want to take any chances. But for those who have watched the first and second part, there is absolutely nothing new in the film. But those who watch the third part for the first time will have their stomach out from their mouth. The film starts with the very famous dejavu scene here too and those who are followers of Final Destination, will have no suspense in those parts. But when I was watching the Roller Coaster ride scene, I almost for a second felt, I shouldn’t visit MGM Dizee World the next time. But apart from that, it exactly the ditto of the first and second part but with characters swapped. But if you do want to get the scare hell out of you, want your stomach grunt for a while do watch it in big screen, you will surely have a big ride out there waiting for you, of course with no blood stains.

      Pops

Do all online contests worth playing for. Open the site Rediff.com, even before the site comes up, you will see dozens of pop ups asking to play a simple game. I have played dozens of these, its not that I want some prizes to be delivered at my door step, I have never got any acknowledgement for any of those entries, I really don’t know what the heck are they doing with our name and address, are they piling up their database entries for no cause and these pop-ups come before you in such a way that you no other choice but you click at least once, and then another separate pop-up comes up, and for all I know, what I see is rediff is getting revenue for all these clicks and the advertiser gets his/her brand commercialized, but what I see is definitely a waste of your time and energy if you expect anything in return from these guys

      Sick City

Sin City… Seeing the trailer in the net and having a glimpse of Bruce Willis I thought let me watch this one hoping to see a good action movie… adding to the fact that it was in black and white, I thought the crew behind sin city has come up with something new and refreshing to be watched out for. True they did experiment something, like the operation was success and the patient dead, the experimental was good but it wasn’t good enough to make u sit for some 2 odd hours to watch it completely, I had to take turns to watch the full movie coz it was ragging me a lot. The experiment was to make it look like those old graphic picture comic novels.

True they did succeed in that, the film brought me those nostalgic moments when I go after those picture comics of super man, bat man and the likes, but the film was awfully boring. Might be the film would have been renamed as “Violence in the sex city” coz there were more lecherousness lustful characters and frames in the movie. you see here sex, violence, people who taste blood, blood- thirsty people, cannibals , whores or hookers or pimps or prostitutes, whatever and however you want to call, gun shots, skin eaters, but despite all this the film wasn’t good enough. It made me somewhat sick in the middle and I have to stop watching it, only to return back the next day to complete the movie.

The movie is split into three parts having different stories all somewhat related either to save a whore or take revenge on behalf of a hooker and the likes. I made a fool of myself when I decided to watch this coz this was Bruce Willis movie, he is hardly shown in the movie. He comes for the first ten and the last ten minutes. That’s all. I felt like a idiot when I realized that it was not a Bruce Willis movie. But certain episodes were good in the movie and it was fun watching them like the fight setting episodes , all of them were good, having got bored with the graphical sequences in the rest ( here too graphics plays a big part ) but still it was something different from the rest and it definitely stands apart in those categories. I am not sure why the team had shown a few things like red dress or the blood in real color and that too in few frames. In a nutshell it was a big bore.

But one thing which I am not able to get myself justified is the fact the Sin City 2 and 3 are in pre-production stages. When Sin City by itself didn’t impress anyone I am not sure how come its sequels gonna impress.

      Mission Accomplished

Wow 2 Tom Cruise movies in a row and Tom Cruise Rocks

Don’t look at the logic, just enjoy the magic. That’s the way movie works out. Good Action packed movie to be watched out on a weekend. Action all the way, but what MI 3 lacks from its previous version is the style (which MI 2 had) and the story line (which MI 1 had). But this is definitely a movie to be watched for all action lovers who want to have a good time watching a movie and who doesn’t see any logic behind it. You get up to the edge of the seat when the renowned Mission Impossible theme music starts and when the title gets displayed, you get a vague notion that the film wont let u down and yes it is, it wont. You have all the regular Mission Impossible ingredients packed here… the famed mask changes, mid air crashes, parachuting between building… the night life of the shangai city is excellently captured. There can be only 2 views about the movie… very critical movie lovers will say it nothing more than ordinary and the others will have my view.

      The Lasting Samurai

The samurai was lost in the first half and regained as the movie progressed towards the end. It was nothing more than ordinary during the initial stages of the movie and the lead actor Tom Cruise wasn’t very impressive in the opening scenes and the scenes thereafter haywire. But once Tom Cruise is held captive by his foreman, the movie takes turns. But in a nutshell the script was very bad for the first half and dialogues were the clear strength of the movie. They were very sharp and crisp and had deep inner meanings and they kept the film alive. I am not sure whether the movie was based on a true incident, but it looked like one and also the film was narrated in a way that made it look like, it was based on a true incident. The movie is quite long running up to two hours and 30 minutes and the war scene towards the end of the movie was very much entrancing and Tom Cruise Counterpart (I forgot his name) was very impressive throughout the film and he made a good show. Since the first half was very boring, you get the feeling that the film is dragging a lot and though the scenes which follow later are quite interesting the impact of the first half is quite heavy and you tend to irritate towards the end.

      Get Set and Go

Race all around the movie…. I started watching the movie at 1 in the night and like the cars in the movie, the movie was so fast… action lovers and rough guys will really like this movie a lot… I once saw bit and pieces of 2 Fast 2 Furious in Vijay TV Tamil Version and I think the second part was better than the first… so right now I am in search of the second version of this movie… you hear lot of technical jargons in the movie and I thought those scenes were quite confusing, but then you get learn what these are, if you watch the movie. The movie was so fast that I never realized that one and hour was gone. One good time pass I would say. I have never seen some one do wheeling on a four wheeler, what I have seen both onscreen and off screen was people wheeling on a two wheeler, but this was my first time experience watching someone wheeling on a four wheeler and I was thrilled to watch that particular sequence. Happy Racing…. Let me get hold of 2 Fast 2 Furious

      Father of all times...

The much talked about movie of all times, the past, the present and future… THE GOD FATHER… at last I watched this much hyped movie… The inspiration for all movies of the ‘woods of the world… the father of the gangster movie… Well its been 34 years since the movie hit the theatres and still it had the freshness in it, to hold me in patience, to watch it for 2 hours 50 minutes… and all I am talking here is about the first part… that aside, the credit actually goes to Mario Puzo, the man behind the book…true the book inspired me more than the film and adding one more thing… this is my first Al Pacino movie.

The movie is damn slow, but each frame has more to talk than the characters on the screen. Eyes talks here and limited dialogues thought they are very strong and powerful. You will see many scenes in the film already repeated in many tamil movies, but get the chance to see the original version here. Be it in the kiss in the hands of SuperStar in Baasha or the Brother Mountain’s exhort to his sister husband in Annamalai or the shifting of the rooms in hospital in Agni Nachatiram and many more, you watch it and you will know more.

I have heard my Grand Father speak about the movie and I think one day my grand son will tell the same. Now I know the reason why the movie is being talked for decades… Watch it and you will also know the reason…

      Road to Satisfaction

After irritated by the ‘V’… I saw Road to Perdition… a true Tom hanks fan would love the film… he had done his part well and the storyline though nothing new, (we have seen that in many films and will see in future as well) … but the way it was narrated keeps the movie going…Its all about a Boss trying to kill his key team member (Tom Hanks) and the way he responds back to that… “None of us will see Heaven” … this dialogue impressed me and after the film I had a huge satisfaction that I have seen a good film…The way the narration goes in the movie it too good, though its very slow it was very interesting. The climax was also neat and the father- son relationship in the movie, though unexpected, was good. There are hardly more than 10 characters in the movie and the stiff expressions shown by Tom Hanks through out the movie makes you wonder what life he would have had in his child hood to work for such a company. In the end everyone’s goes to hell

      W for Waste

I never expected that someone who made “The Matrix Trilogy” to come up with a film like V for Vendetta. I don’t understand anything in the film. My friend said that the film was like the Tamil film Citizen starring Ajith which came 5 years back and I would partly say yes and adding to that I say Citizen was better than V. Such an idiotic film and I couldn’t remember anything I saw in the film. This is similar to many of our Tamil films where a Robin Hood gets against the government representing the poor. However the film was very poorly made and I didn’t have the patience to watch the movie. I was constantly watching the ticker and calculating myself for the end. There was nothing much in the movie to be talked about. The film started off well and within 15 minutes you kinda get bored and after an hour it is on top off your head banging you. I was able to comprehend what Ajith cried out in Citizen or the woes of the Ambi In Anniyan but certainly not this. He was working for a cause, that’s accepted but the way he does things to put forth his point to the government…yuck… bore….
