You wake up at Seatac, SFO, LAX. You wake up at O'Hare, Dallas-Fort Worth, BWI. Pacific, mountain, central. Lose an hour, gain an hour. This is your life, and it's ending one minute at a time. You wake up at Air Harbor International. If you wake up at a different time, in a different place, could you wake up as a different person? We're the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world.

The day started as any other day for me, but for the outside world people were busy getting up, taking oil bath, a visit to the temple, doing pooja’s at home, trying different experiments with new eatables and it always turns up well on that day. I as usual get up late in the morning as any other day, while the rest of the world is celebrating festive season, as soon I get up, I search for the remote like the end of the world and switch on the idiot box so that I don’t miss the interview of my favorite star or the new songs from the upcoming movies. After getting umpteen chidings from the mother, I started to get my bath for the day grumbling myself , after the bath, well I set my pillows right for my back, get into a comfortable position and push all the eatables one by one and switching over channels between ads so that I don’t miss any programmes. In between several SMS and calls wishing the festive season and that fine time came when my friend called me to get ready, as we are heading for the latest flick that has hit the theatres and having seen multiple reviews, snapshots and several build ups by the TV channels, your urge to see the movie hits the sky and you finish the lunch much earlier so that you aren’t stopped getting away from the house, as usual my mother asks when will you come back knowing that I will turn up only for the late dinner.

Get Set Go … to the theatre, knowing very well that the tickets would have been booked for a week well in advance, but still to see the glimpse of the theatre gives the satisfaction of watching the film. It’s nothing like seeing the first day show of your favorite hero. Luckily there is a theatre where there is no advance reservation; you have to stand in queue to get the tickets. Well after having a glance at the city theatres, you get to that theatre outside city limits and the positive attitude hits the sky and you stand in the queue. Seconds turns into minutes into hours making your shirt wet and smelling bad.

Golden hours are wasted, you think, but nothing fruitful to be done otherwise as well, the previous show gets over and people turn out to be happy boosting you to stand and not leave the line.

The crowd gets more violent since the reviews are good, the cops turn up, the person before and after you always get beaten up by them and the person who sits next to you is always drunk. Despite all this, the standing continues to get hold of the tickets. With sweat drenching shirt and a bad odor, the effort continues, tension builds as the queue moves and you keep counting the no of people standing before you, the moment comes atlast where you get hold of the tickets.

The theatre now looks like a palace and at last after you park your seats and have a long deep breathe, the very famous Prince Jewellery and Nalli silks ads come up. And then you see the Central Board of Film certification coming up.

      The Breed

Accepted. Certain films are scary, but certainly not this. Devoid of horror + thriller films I watched this, I have seen films having Godzilla, dinosaurs and Sharks, but certainly not dogs, but this notion got away with The Breed. Why is that in Hollywood films, if a gang go out for a tour, it always ends in two styles either the American Pie type or the 7 in 2 out type. Some one or the other has to sacrifice their lives. There aren’t always some pleasant experiences whenever they go out on the tour. Here u see dog, dogs and more dogs doesn’t liking anybody on the island they live in. This film definitely cannot be included in the Horror Genre type. Sometimes you have the fear of doing something but you get ahead doing it without much tensity, that’s the way film is, they try to give you the feel, but once the suspense breaks out somehow the feel gets vanished out making it an usual activity. I had a feeling that this film wont be that much of a entertainer and it made me kept that spirit true.

Scanner Darkly - everything is going to be ok

      >What does a scanner see into the head or Down into the heart?
Does it see into me, into us?
      Clearly or darkly?
      I hope it sees clearly,
because I can't any linger see into myself.
      I see only murk.

      I hope for everyone's sake
      the scanners do better.
Because if the scanner sees only darkly,
      the way I do...

... then I'm cursed and cursed again.
And we'll only wind up dead this way...

      ... knowing very little
and getting that little fragment wrong too

      ------------------------------------------- SCANNER DARKLY -----------------------

I think everybody is paranoid is one or the other. Many a times we have a struggle between the heart and the mind and finally which wins depends on the situation at hand. We are all in one or other are addicted to something or the other, we knowingly do it, though we don’t care about the end result , all we concern is the sheer pleasure of doing it.
      a
      This film was dedicated to the lives of those people who are deceased, deceasing and about to be deceased. Though I was not able to relate myself to the film theme, there are thing which I am addicted, its not the medicinal drug but the non medical drug, they have been in the not to do list for many new year resolution but still I continue to do them;

Everybody is a drug in this world or for that matter everything is a drug. They call it substance D in Scanner Darkly, I call it the worldly affairs,

Its not that I cannot forgo it; its just that I don’t want to leave it, but anytime I do it, I also think I shouldn’t do it. It’s like the argument between the left and the right hemisphere of my brain. Why the heck do they have 2 parts in the brain, many a time I struggle to find which one causes all the head ache trouble of mine?

Scanner Darkly is an animated film featuring Keanu Reeves and is all about a person who is addicted to this Substance D, the film is not a entertainer but it can show you the path to entertain.

      Vasantha Mullai

Veyil heavily focused and the screens burn with desire, S Pictures fourth hit in a row. Takes off with a stupendous violent killing that you kind of think you have come to yet another gangster story, but you are proved wrong before the next film rolls on. We have seen so many versions of Pasupathi, watch yet another one here, romancing around is also his cup of tea ,that’s how he establishes himself in the first half. The film is all about how a lad escapes from his family, runs away, how he challenges life at every point in his growth. Well if you think veyil is too slow to heat you up, Dhoooooooom, here it is so soothing to watch Ash and Hrithik, but you get heated whenever either ash or bipasu turns up. Dhoom is of the genre No Logic Only Magic and this time around no P C Sorkar, magic show is performed by Hrithik, 6 slabs in his stomach and yet he is able to flex himself fine to the tunes of Dhoom Machale, even the basket ball in his hand seems like a tennis ball and so is the character to him, no body but him makes the film interesting.

If the above of the type where you go stretch, relax and watch, well Lucky Number Slevin is of the type where you have to be awake for every word that are uttered on screen. As such the film unfolds in the last half hour, so if you miss anything at the start you lose everything at the end. Simple Story, analytical screenplay and that’s Lucky Number Slevin for you, it’s the impressive how the title is also framed for the movie. A single line story visualized in multiple frames, that’s the movie for you. But for American Pie 5, to be very frank it’s a diluted porn film.

There are many things line up for me, first is Pokkiri Pongal, the music inspires me, and that too the opening song, Pokkiri Pongal, I can imagine now how the crowd is going to enjoy themselves for this intro song for Vijay. Vasantha Mulai, unofficial remix of the old song, I need not give an unveil for this, its reverberated everywhere and all radio channels are thumped with this vocal. Dole Dole song, this was a major hit in telugu and I think it will be recreated in tamil a well, expect a stylish dance steps for this from Vijay, Suchithra voice was grace and elegant for this one and also for the song, En chella Peru Apple which sounded more like the May Madham Song from jay jay also sung by Suchithra, but our all thota bhoopathi is ready for everything … Nee muthamonnu koduthaal sounds like old MGR film songs and Mambazhamam mambazham, is one of the typical Vijay’s Romantic gana song, which has the ingredients for a foot thumping number for him. In a nutshell the film songs are like tailor made for him and for vijay fans. The lyrics for Vasantha Mulai was impressive, it was comical and both romantic. Kushi Edupa patha enga allu, eppo melodyki thavtaru. Kadhal Enbathu aadhaiyai pola night muluka mulikum , Pennin Edupum Eraivannum ondru appa appa than theiyum , endra sila pala thatuvankal pala mari pozithu erukinrana.

Well I started with the films that I am lined up with, Pokkiri tops the list but I have to wait for Pongal for the same, then there are The Return of the King, Reservoir Dogs, Usual Suspects, The Departed, Requiem for a Dream etc:-
