You wake up at Seatac, SFO, LAX. You wake up at O'Hare, Dallas-Fort Worth, BWI. Pacific, mountain, central. Lose an hour, gain an hour. This is your life, and it's ending one minute at a time. You wake up at Air Harbor International. If you wake up at a different time, in a different place, could you wake up as a different person? We're the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world.

Imsai Arasan… clearly a master move by Shankar Productions. Off late no one in the industry had tried to create a history movie and S productions aptly judged the profit such a film could make if properly delivered and the team behind pulikesi has done a neat job on their front.

A commendable performance by vadivelu, clearly one of his best. Don’t expect pulikesi to be an out and out comedy film something of the likes Winner or Giri. This is a film which has a habitué comedian performing the lead role and that doesn’t guarantee a full length fun film. That is one damaging image this film has, people expect a laugh riot and come to the theatre, the result - - disappointing. Let me make that clear, this is not a full length laugh riot, this film like others has a message (do other films have?) And like any other movie, here too the lead fight, romances, does comedy, cries, throws emotions.

I should say I was surprised when I saw this had a dual role for Vadivelu. There were actually certain sequences which were really very boring like the introductory song for the big brother vadivelu or to put it in another way, pulikesi was entertaining and not his big brother. But the big brother (I forgot the name for him) paved us way what an actor Vadivelu was.

The film is a hit and that is a fact now, theatres are full even on Monday mornings. The big plus this film has is, it attracts the family crowd very easily. Songs aren’t that impressive, the kick off song was good, but that too the first stanza only and one more song which has vadivelu and tejashree (man, she was beautiful in this movie) was ok kind of a thing, the rest of the songs were damn bore.

This film doesn’t have any separate comedy tracks as such and all are implied fun, timely jokes only. Don’t expect anything big. I would not say this film is a great time pass but stil you could watch it and have fun ( if you dont find it funny also Just have a watch) . This film is worth watching for the way it has been made and for its unique attempt to bring such a movie after a long time. If you got all what i said, Ka Ka ka po ( watch the film for its meaning )
