Wow… I have become a fan of Yuvan Shankar Raja after hearing the song Oru Naali .. from the film PudhuPettai...
It has become one of my favorite song and the song gets played perennially on my walkman over and over again and I have become obsessed with the song. The lyrics were written by Na. Muthu kumar, if I would have been a girl I would kissed his hand for writing such a wonderful lyrics, as I was hearing the song I was completely mesmerized by the beauty with which the words were crafted and I am eagerly waiting how Selvaraghavan would have visualized the song. The song did have chemical effects inside my body and my whole attitude and perspective towards life have changed dramatically.
Life is all about living and there is nothing much one can go about doing for what is happening around him. For all I know, we always crib out things, cry, wail but then why? If we ponder over the point at a later point of time, we smile at ourselves and when some one asks why?. We smile gently and say nothing. Everyone knows this but still when we are going through tough times we seldom think about this, but that is what life is all about. We have to keep moving.
Expectations I would say is the mother of all sorrows, if one would know how to control it, surely I can say a person can very well lead his life without much worries. This is what solitudinarians practice and they are on the upper edge of life. Everyday life throws ball at our court and it is usually an ace and life wins 40- none.
I would always say that you are the sole accompany for yourself. This point is beautifully phrased in the song that during night even your shadows leave you and reiterate that you are the only person who can help you.
Nothing in this world is permanent; change is the only thing which is constant. May be one can say that at least let me enjoy before I close my eyes, that is perfectly a valid statement I would say from my front but to crib out them in case you have failed in them or some one didn’t meet your expectations is utter foolishness, we should avoid those cases in our life
In India, husband and wife’s are very much dependant on each other and at the death of any one of them leaves the other in a world of desert. The other person goes to the level that is no point in living after that. Thanks to the kids they have, they think let me devote myself fully for
the welfare for them( children ). I recently went to the funeral of one of my friend’s father, I couldn’t see the plight that his mother went through and I for a moment thought sati was better… such is the case in India between a husband and wife. I am not saying that it is wrong but then the misery which one has to undergo after that is quite unimaginable but then that is what life is all about.
I was remembered of the poem “All the worlds a stage “by Shakespeare when I was hearing this song. This song too ended with the note that we all know that the world is a stage and still knowing that we will watch and be a part of it”
Well the reason behind me writing all this were the following lines.

You wake up at Seatac, SFO, LAX. You wake up at O'Hare, Dallas-Fort Worth, BWI. Pacific, mountain, central. Lose an hour, gain an hour. This is your life, and it's ending one minute at a time. You wake up at Air Harbor International. If you wake up at a different time, in a different place, could you wake up as a different person? We're the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world. |
