You wake up at Seatac, SFO, LAX. You wake up at O'Hare, Dallas-Fort Worth, BWI. Pacific, mountain, central. Lose an hour, gain an hour. This is your life, and it's ending one minute at a time. You wake up at Air Harbor International. If you wake up at a different time, in a different place, could you wake up as a different person? We're the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world.

    • Mylapore

I came across a guy who was doing a project on Mylapore and he wanted to give me a report on why I like Mylapore and blah blah. So what did I reply him. This is what …..

I don’t know about other towns which surround me... I was hailed from Mylapore and have been a resident of it for the past 23 years of my age which is of course the main reason why I don’t wanna change this place and go somewhere else. You get everything here, from a to z, everything is reachable. Say Mylapore, certain things which come to my mind instantly are kapaleeshwar temple and the tank at the back of it, iyengar girls  , sangeetha hotel, mamis, of course Mylapore has a majority of Brahmin residents and that is what it is famous off, though off late that fact is getting extinguished, I am very passionate about drinking coffee, the simple reason why that habit got into me is that I have been drinking a lot of filter coffee in many of my friends home who happen to be Brahmins and filter coffee by a mami beats everything in the world. Then comes the mami’s daughter, I grew up sight seeing a lot of mami’s daughter (of course I will end up getting married one), who in their teenage with padava thavani come circle around the place with innocent looks accompanied by their mother, but later they become crooked enough with their outlook and their minds corrupted, revolve the place with jeans and shirt and I hate that. Ask anybody why they like Mylapore, a majority of residents will come up with the answer Temples.

There are lots of small temples in mylapore which occupy almost all the streets. Ask any house wife, why they like Mylapore, they say I am staying closer to the market and there are temples here and I simply love the residents of Mylapore who are amicable and lovely and it is closer to the beach . Talking about Marina beach is altogether a different subject and I will come back to that later. Some events in Mylapore which happen every year are the Mylapore Festival and the kapaleeshwar Temple Thiruvizha (of course many will be associated with temples and God). People who are very passionate about Gods and Temple will definitely like this place a lot.

Land prices in Mylapore is very high. I have heard people say tat always land prices in Mylapore is high coz of the fact that streets in Mylapore are visited by God and that’s how the land prices rose here, well that is history and Mylapore is one of the places which developed when Madras was getting developed and it remained one of its core important places to be visited and it did attract tourists and it still attracts them. The one thing which can irritate people here is tat is highly crowded and streets in Mylapore are less wider and houses are jam packed here. I would say tat there is some improper infrastructure maintained here but still land prices are very high here. Well this is what I could write as of now as I have to attend a meeting now….
