You wake up at Seatac, SFO, LAX. You wake up at O'Hare, Dallas-Fort Worth, BWI. Pacific, mountain, central. Lose an hour, gain an hour. This is your life, and it's ending one minute at a time. You wake up at Air Harbor International. If you wake up at a different time, in a different place, could you wake up as a different person? We're the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world. |
The tag line aptly suits the movie… watch the movie for 15 minutes and its an easy guess .., that’s it a film by selvaraghavan… A typical selvaraghavan movie… his characterization dominates the movie in one front and in the front Dhanush steals the show from the first real to the end. A commendable performance from him and the director/ brother of him has extracted his talent to the core. Though there are many logical flows in the movie like u see only Dhanush having a gun and no one else and single punch from him kills a guy ( weird joke ) and the way people respect him and there are many but the way it has been framed it too good and definitely stands apart from the rest. The things which needs to given a pat on the back are cinematography, music and screen play. Of course the film is very long stretching more than 3 hours and towards the end you feel like kinda fed up watching more of Dhanush. There is subtle comedy which tags itself throughout the movie which keeps the movie quite interesting. The plot where a gangster trains Dhanush to cut a person’s right hand attracted claps from all corners. Went in a pessimistic mood about the film after hearing my friends view, it didn’t fool me to that extent . I still did enjoy some parts of the film. But I was totally dissatisfied because the song “Oru Nalil” was not screened in the film nor it came as a background score. The main reason why I wanted to watch the movie was the way the song attracted me and it didn’t show up till the end. The film begins with “enga area ulla varatha”, and it slowly moves from frame by frame into a gangster world where Guns and blood is the air around. The color tints which were given as per the mood of the film were too good. In a nutshell, this film did attract me and I am now glued to PudhuPettai songs. But one thing to like this film you basically need to have a flair for gangter and violent films else please dont waste ur money. |
