If u have been a couch potato watching pirated vcds and dvds at home and thinking its not worth watching a movie at the theatres, think again, its time for you to go to the big screen. Gautam Menon is in the top of the list of the people, as of now currently, who are taking the tamil film industry to the next generation.
Kakka Kakka opened like “an episode in a police officers life”… Vettaiyadu Vilayadu opens like “another episode in a police officers life”. If kakka kakka was a fresh and elegant, Vettaiyadu Vilayadu is more matured and stylish. Don’t miss the opening songs Karka Karka, it’s extremely stylish, you just would love kamal on screen. I am awe inspired by the intelligence which would have gone into making this movie. I have no words for this movie; you have to definitely see this one. You can watch it once, twice… no thrice or more.
Kamalini Mukherjee I have seen her in many actress galleries but she never seemed so beautiful, but in here she is so sweet and cute, but alas she comes only for a few frames in the movie, jyothika is bubbly, as usual Kamal dominates the full movie.
Serial killer movies are very rare in tamil movies, this one is about such a thing. However this doesn’t have a great storyline in fact, this is almost similar to Kakka Kakka, all about vendetta between a cop and a serial killer, Gautam may have tried a different storyline but the way the film goes is spell- bound.
It’s so natural for everyone to compare this with Kakka Kakka, as said by Surya in a preview show of this movie, even 100 Anbu Selvan’s won’t make 1 Raghavan… true 100% percent. But one thing I felt was that Kakka Kakka had a great background score; Vet Vila too has a good one but definitely not like Kakka Kakka. Photography was too good; every frame was fresh and natural
I won’t be surprised if Silanthi (his next film with Sarath Kumar) opens like “Yet another episode in a police officers life”

You wake up at Seatac, SFO, LAX. You wake up at O'Hare, Dallas-Fort Worth, BWI. Pacific, mountain, central. Lose an hour, gain an hour. This is your life, and it's ending one minute at a time. You wake up at Air Harbor International. If you wake up at a different time, in a different place, could you wake up as a different person? We're the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world. |
